The Blacksmith’s Knife is a great course for any student looking to create something both useful and memorable. This beginning bladesmithing class introduces the fundamentals of the craft, including proper hammering techniques, heat‑treating basics, filing methods, and safe tool use. Whether you’ve never stood near a blazing forge or already have a little experience, this class offers skills you can build on. Students will learn essential blacksmithing safety, become familiar with forging equipment, and practice drawing, tapering, and upsetting metal. By the end of the day, you’ll forge your own version of a Blacksmith’s Throwing Knife. Blacksmithing is simple—but not easy—and it’s incredibly rewarding.
