The center of Port Gamble has always been the General Store...
At the center of Kitsap's super walkable Victorian era historic mill town the Port Gamble General Store & Sea and Shore Museum is where history, community, a treasure-hunt shopping experience, and a good cup of coffee meet under one roof. The massive main floor includes a café (that slings darn tasty sandwiches and snacks!), an ice cream counter, and a shop filled to the brim with local goods and PNW goodies. Up the stairs is the free Sea and Shore Museum is a sprawl of marine life curiosities: shells, fossils, specimens, and artifacts. It’s the kind of place where you can grab lunch, shop for souvenirs, see the biggest shell you've ever imagined and walk out with a bag of saltwater taffy for the ride home.
