Tucked along the Hood Canal with forest at its back and saltwater at its feet, the small community of Seabeck moves at a slower pace - and that’s exactly the point.
Start early at Big Beef Creek, one of the best spots on the peninsula for eagle watching. You can see eagles year-round, but activity is strongest when food sources are abundant. In Seabeck, that often aligns with late spring through summer. You’ll see them perched high in the trees or gliding low over the water, a reminder that this corner of Kitsap still feels wild and untouched.
From there, ease into the morning with a stop at Turies Seabeck Espresso. Grab a coffee and a breakfast bite, chat with a local or two, and take a moment to look out toward the water before heading down the road.
Next up is the Seabeck General Store, just a few feet away, is a small but essential stop packed with character. This is your place to gather picnic supplies - fresh snacks, drinks, and a few treats you didn’t plan on but will be glad you grabbed.
With your provisions in hand, head to Scenic Beach State Park. Wander the shoreline, stretch out on the pebbled beach, or find a quiet spot beneath the trees for a laid-back picnic. On a clear day, the Olympic Mountains rise across the canal, giving you one of the most rewarding views in Kitsap.
If you’re up for a bit more exploring, make your way to Guillemot Cove. The steep trail down is part of the experience, winding through forest before opening up to a wide, driftwood-lined beach. It’s quiet, expansive, and worth every step. Bonus points if you pay a visit to the legendary Stump House!
At any point during your day, your simply MUST grab a bite at Seabeck Pizza, Open from 11am to 8pm - order a pie, grab a picnic table, and settle in for some amazing pizza that is the stuff of local legends.
