North Kitsap Heritage Park - Kingston

Spanning darn near 1,000 acres between Kingston and Poulsbo, North Kitsap Heritage Park is a forested web of peaceful trails that wind through tall evergreens and wetlands. The park is a favorite spot for hikers, birdwatchers, trail runners, and equestrians and its gentle paths make it easy for families and casual explorers, while its sheer size offers plenty of room for longer adventures.

Hansville Greenway - Hansville

The Hansville Greenway is a North Kitsap community treasure! Just outside the sleepy sea-side hamlet of Hansville, the Greenway is a network of peaceful trails that wind through forests, wetlands, and idyllic meadows. Stretching for more than eight miles, the Greenway connects neighborhoods, natural areas, and parks, including a direct link to Point No Point Lighthouse and beach. Picture perfect for photo walks, birdwatching, or just a slow stroll day dreaming the day away, the Greenway offers visitors a chance to experience Kitsap’s coastal beauty at a slower pace.

Buck Lake County Park - Hansville

Connected via the Hansville Greenway, Buck Lake is a local favorite for its peaceful lake perfect for swimming, fishing & SUPing. Beach adventures

Saltair Park - Kingston

Looking for some off-the-beaten-path beach time that's also super convenient? Saltair Park is a stone's throw from the  Kingston terminal and is your first chance to get some sand under your feet stepping off the boat from Seattle. Driftwood-strewn beach is perfect for exploration and the views of the Puget Sound and the ferry traffic is peaceful as can be. It’s the kind of place where you can kick off your shoes, wander the sand in search of shells and sea glass, and let the salty breeze sink into your soul. Whether you arrive with a kayak in tow, a picnic packed, or just a spontaneous spirit in search of sand, Saltair Park is a great spot in the heart of North Kitsap..

Point No Point - Hansville

Hands down one of Kitsap's best beach experiences is also on the very Northern tip of the Peninsula. Iconic and oh so photogenic lighthouse aside, the beach itself at Point No Point County Park is absolutely fantastic for wandering, beach combing and hopping along the drift wood. You'll often find driftwood forts that visitors have left behind, making for a magical experience.

Norwegian Point - Hansville

Also in Hansville, not far from Point No Point, is Norwegian Point Park. An easily accessible shoreline escape right across the street from Hansgrill Restaurant / Hansville Grocery (picnic ya'll!) this park is relaxed rural vibes and big views. The sand is soft, the water is chilly and the pace is slow. Enjoy it.

Foulweather Bluff - Hansville

This is one of Kitsap's best beaches AND best kept secret! This 100-acre preserve features a sandy beach and forest trails if you get sick of the sand. Known for its birdwatching opportunities, picturesque driftwood dappled shoreline, and peaceful vibes, Foulweather Bluff is a North Kitsap beach you'll be happy you made the drive to.

Port Gamble Heritage Park - Port Gamble

It's true, Port Gamble Heritage Park is best known for its vast forests and miles of trails...but its hidden gem is its waterfront along Hood Canal on Gamble Bay. Visitors can wander down to quiet beaches where eagles soar overhead. The park’s water access makes it a prime spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply wading in the salty shallows on a warm summer afternoon. Search the beach for treasures, admire in the sweeping views and soak your bones in the calm water of this protected Bay.

Salsbury Point - Port Gamble

Located near the Hood Canal Bridge, Salsbury Point County Park is a Kitsap favorite for low key beach fun with sweeping views. Its long sandy shoreline is perfect for wandering and skipping stones, while picnic tables and grassy lawns make it an easy spot to spend the whole day snacking and chilling. A boat launch and dock provide access to Hood Canal for kayaking, crabbing, and on the water adventures while the playground keeps the kiddos entertained between beach walks.

Arness Roadside Park - Kingston

This small park on Apple Tree Cove is a great little spot to pull over and enjoy a small stretch of beach and a great views of the Kingston ferry going to and fro. It's also THE PLACE to view Kingston's 4th of July fireworks show!
